The five ADHD types
This free 60-second quiz sorts you into one of five patterns. They’re not diagnoses — they’re descriptions of where your brain tends to get stuck, so you can pick a tool that matches the actual problem instead of guessing.
- The Frozen Starter — Your brain gets stuck right at the starting line. The task feels enormous before you've even begun, so it slams on the brakes — that's task initiation, not laziness.
- The Overwhelmed One — Everything arrives at once and your brain can't pick where to land, so it half-does five things and finishes none. The fix isn't more willpower, it's fewer open loops.
- The Time-Slipper — Time doesn't feel real until it's already gone. “In a minute” becomes three hours and you're late through no fault of your own — that's time blindness.
- The Doom-Piler — The piles win because every object is a decision, and decisions are the expensive part for an ADHD brain. It isn't that you don't care.
- The Hyperfocuser — When something grabs you, you vanish into it — six hours gone, meals skipped, everything else on fire. Hyperfocus is real, and it needs handling, not fixing.
